Partner: None currently, but as for his late wives:
-Falimma Lise(-Bunansa): A noble, a distant relative of the imperial family. Quiet, indulgent, good with the kids. They had two sons.
-Kristine Solidor(-Bunansa): A "troublemaker." A very exciting sort, enjoyed going down to the Phon Coast and talking to the bounty hunters. She was killed in an aircraft incident. (They were married for only 2 years)
-Chera Lowind(-Bunansa): A seamstress. Cid's "favorite" wife and mother of Ffamran.
Children: Two sons with Falimma, the first became a teacher, the second a low-ranking military officer, but both have since passed away.
A third son with Chera, Ffamran Mid Bunansa, who currently goes by the alias "Balthier." He was Cid's favorite child and he absolutely spoiled him prior to his study of the Occuria. Once Cid met up with Venat and became involved in his nethicite research his relationship with Balthier changed (this is generally seen as the point where he went from just being sort of eccentric to being absolutely nuts). Against Balthier's will he had him appointed as a judge, but Balthier didn't hold the position for long before stealing Cid's prototype ship the Strahl and flying away to become a sky pirate. Cid currently has a bounty on his son's head to have him brought back alive in hopes of reconciling with him (forcefully if necessary). In Cid's mind, Balthier is still just "Ffamran," a good little boy.

Relationships:
-Gant: Only considers Gant as an enemy because Gant treats him like one. Enjoys taking apart Gant's appliances for spare parts.
-Angie: At first he was attracted to her, but he's gradually come to think of her more as a friend and sort of surrogate daughter. Still, that doesn't stop him from being borderline creepy from time to time. He's thinks she's pretty and smart.
-Adachi: Likes Adachi better than most of the others do and considers him something of a friend (albeit a slightly stupid one). They share similar kinks.
-Machi: Cid thinks Machi is sweet and talented (Cid likes music, but is unmusical himself). He built him a sort of piano out of things he "found" in Gant's house. Tries to protect Machi from Gant and Daryan, partially out of his antagonism toward Gant. While Cid regards Angie as something of a daughter figure, he considers Machi more of an equal, possibly because of his serious demeanor.
-Ashe: He finds her amusing, because she's not exactly what he expected from the princess of Dalmasca. Her quick temper makes him laugh. Enjoys her presence despite the fact that they would be enemies back home particularly because they come from the same world.
-Rasaki: Likes her and gets along with her well, probably because neither of them is fully in touch with reality.

Secrets/Backstory/Etc.
-Made an alliance with the rogue Occuria Venat to gain the secret of creating manufacted nethicite (a powerful man-made form of magicite) that could be used to power machines and weapons nearly endlessly. Venat gave this knowledge to Cid to give humans, rather than the Occuria, power over their fate (partially just to see what crazy stuff would happen, Izanami-style- or so thinks Suzume).
-Had Reddas (then Judge Zecht) test out the power of the nethicite on the city of Nabrudis during the war. Nabrudis was completely leveled by the out of control explosion that followed. Thus, Cid became Prince Vayne's ally in the expansion of the Archadian Empire.
-Once had some kind of relationship with a Viera dominatrix. No one wants to hear more about this.
